4:13 Coffee Truck - San Antonio, TX
For a few months now, Mr. Brew and I have been visiting 4:13 Coffee on Potranco and 211 in San Antonio, TX. This family owned coffee truck has a huge menu of offerings, as well as seasonal drinks that are sure to please anyone’s palate.
We’ve tried a few of their signature lattes: Samo Mocha, Mexican Mocha, and Horchata. The Samo Mocha is a combination of 4:13’s delicious espresso, chocolate, caramel, and coconut. If you are a fan of coconut (especially when mixed with your coffee) this is your drink! It is super delicious while not being overly sweet, and there are little chunks of coconut that are an extra treat.
The Mexican Mocha combines the authentic flavors of Mexican chocolate with whipped cream and condensed milk. This is a sweeter mocha because of the condensed milk, but is super creamy and still holds onto the nuttier flavors that you get from Mexican chocolate. When in need of something with deeper flavors, this is what I reach for.
And now, for the Horchata latte. Brewed with homemade horchata and espresso, the Horchata latte is sweet, spicy, and packed with cinnamon. I always find horchata to have a lighter flavor than regular milk so this sits lighter on the tummy and helps the cinnamon and spices shine through more prominently.
Last winter we also enjoyed some of their seasonal brews, most notably their Peppermint Mexican Mocha that combined the wonderful minty sweetness of peppermints with the nutty, creamy Mexican mocha. As soon as that comes back, I’ll be in line.
This is only scratching the surface of the incredible line up of flavors 4:13 Coffee has to offer. I always look forward to grabbing a latte when we drive by their truck. Plus, they are always super kind and cheerful, even when we show up first thing in the morning. Great coffee and great service wins us over every time.
Check them out next time you are in West San Antonio, or make the drive. It’s worth it.
Cheers,
Mrs. Brew
