Texas Pecan - Cafe Olé

IMG_3358.JPG

Last week I reviewed the delicious Taste of San Antonio, and I am back again to share my thoughts on HEB’s Texas Pecan.

Texas Pecan is a medium roast made with Arabica beans. It was described as, “medium-bodied with creamy caramel and Texas pecan flavors.”

A fitting description and a fitting name. I absolutely loved drinking this coffee blend. It was less sweet which allowed the natural coffee flavor to come out. The caramel flavor was very present in the aroma but not overbearing in the drink. Instead, it allowed the coffee to be creamy and a smooth drinker.

The pecan flavor adds just enough nuttiness to the coffee while bringing its own level of sweetness, which also adds to the creamy flavor of Texas Pecan.

Although I liked Taste of San Antonio, I am more likely to enjoy Texas Pecan on a regular basis. The bag of grounds is perfect for a drip or French press and makes a delicious cup each time you brew.

Cheers,

Mrs. Brew
