Frankenbones - Bones Coffee Review
Another delicious Bones Coffee Fall Favorite coming your way! On brew today, Frankenbones. The bag was as mysterious as Frankenstein himself…we had no hints regarding flavor which made the discovery all the more exciting.
As always, we brewed Frankenbones to our usual French press specs: 50 g, 32 oz of 200-202℉, steep for 3-5 minutes.
Frankenbones has a forward hazelnut aroma that is pleasing and brings fall wafting into your home. That same hazelnut aroma transfers to a deliciously nutty flavor with a dark chocolate sweetness that adds a bitter note and coats the palate. There is a slightly-dry finish as a result of the dark chocolate, but the nutty hazelnut first offers a medium-full body that is creamy and cozy.
There are tons of hazelnut coffees stocked on the shelf of every grocery store. Not to mention the plethora of extra creamers and sweeteners. So what makes Bones better? Frankenbones is packed with the sweet hazelnut flavors we are always chasing, but without the need for extra additives to get it. It is matched by the dark chocolate and comes perfectly balanced so that all you have to do is brew, and enjoy.
I am a big fan of hazelnut coffees, but I am also incredibly picky about them. Bones Coffee delivers with Frankenbones. I will happily drink this every Fall (as it is one more in their infamous Fall Favorites lineup) and must say it is now one of my favorite Bones brews.
Cheers,
Mrs. Brew
