Frosted Pumpkin Roll - Bones Coffee Review

bag of Bones Coffee next to mug full of coffee

There is something about a pumpkin roll that just screams fall. So I was very eager to try another Bones Coffee Fall Favorite: Frosted Pumpkin Roll.

Straight from the bag, you can smell the pumpkin and cream aroma. We brewed it to our usual specs in the French press: 50 g, 32 oz of 200-202℉, steep for 3-5 minutes. Whenever we try a new brew, we always brew it as a French press so that our standard is equal and every difference in coffee beans and flavors is on display.

Frosted Pumpkin Roll has a very active bloom and has a balanced but forward pumpkin spice. It tasted just like pumpkin cake with a cream cheese frosting. I tasted some jelly-like, fruity sweetness that helped balance the spicier pumpkin notes. I’ve noticed the jelly-like quality in a few of Bones Coffee’s before, so this might be a trait unique to their roasting.

If you are a fan of pumpkin spice but want a little extra sweetness, this is the perfect coffee to fit those desires. And, Bones Coffee small-batch roasts their coffee to make sure you always have a freshly roasted cup of coffee.

Cheers,

Mrs. Brew
